Social Networking for Business
10 Steps to Successful Social Networking for Business
Social Networking for Business is a social network
After you have joined the Successful Social Networking for Business Blog, here are some things you can do. Customize your Profile Page (My Page) This page is great for sharing more about yourself. You can add a photo to it (clicking on the "Change My Profile Photo" link at the top right).
You can click on the "Edit" button in the box at the top and make it an "About Me" section. You can also do a blog post from here and read the comments that other people leave you in your Comment Wall. Any blog posts you write are displayed along with the other 5 most recent posts on the home page.
Some members have gotten very creative and also changed the page appearance (you can do this by clicking on the "Edit Page Appearance" link at the top).
Friend Members
If you see someone who you’d like to “friend” on the network, just click on their name or picture, and request a friendship. If they accept, they will show up as friends when you look at your page (My Page) and see your friends list.
Start or Read a Discussion in a Forum or Read or Add Blog Content -- Let's learn from each other!
Update Your Status
Just like you can do on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks, you can also update your status (and therefore share with others in a short message) how you are doing, what are you doing, etc.
Invite Others to Join
Last, after you have spent some time on the site, why not invite others to join? You can click on the Invite tab to do this or tell others in many different ways, online and offline. Also, I don't mind if you link to us from your blog or other sites. You can follow me on Twitter and become a fan on Facebook.
